Joe Johnston is an American film director, responsible for such movies as Hidalgo, Jumanji and Jurassic Park III, who started out as a storyboard and concept artist for George Lucas on Star Wars. On Battlestar Galactica he worked on a great number of concept designs like the Battlestar Galactica, the Colonial Viper, the Cylon Raider, but also on the costume designs of the Ovion, Cylon Centurion and the Daggit. He might also have assisted on making the models of the ships. NEW IMAGES ADDED [09/17/2010] I found a huge number of new concept sketches and designs that Joe Johnston made for the Battlestar Galactica series. I found some sketches he made for the Daggit costume, the Cylon Basestar, the Cylon Freighter (or Tanker) and the Colonial Shuttle. Seeing all these great new sketches I realize we've only seen the tip of the iceberg. I hope in time many more will turn up! Please Contact Us if you have some to complete our collection.
