After doing an interview for GALACTICA.TV, Marcel Damen and Leah Cairns, better known as Lt. Margaret "Racetrack" Edmondson in the Battlestar Galactica 2003 series, stayed in touch. When he proposed to make her a website she immediately loved the idea. Though it took some time to build "Leah Cairns - Offical Site" recently opened up for the fans to enjoy.
In December 2006 Leah Cairns was contacted by GALACTICA.TV for an interview. The interview became very memorable, because of Leah 's great personality and since it was one of the longest interviews I ever did (and still is up until today). It made me wonder why nobody ever made a website for this kind and talented actress. Though I admitted to her that I knew little about her career besides Battlestar Galactica I simply had my mind set on making her a website. Leah Cairns loved the idea and I started building it. Now it wasn't an easy task, because soon after I started I became very ill for a couple of months and it seriously delayed all my online projects (including GALACTICA.TV).
In August 2007, I was thrilled that Leah Cairns joined the Wolf Events Galactica 3 Convention in London (UK). Not only would I finally get to meet her, we could also discuss the first setup of the website. She liked the basic setup and had brought me a bundle of photos to scan and put up on the website. Two weeks after the convention I was finally finished with the job that started all of this, namely typing out the interview we did months ago. Many fans/readers/visitors of GALACTICA.TV probably don't realize this, but typing out these long interviews can take up between 10-15 hours of typing! The extreme length of the Leah Cairns interview took about twice as long to type out.
Now also the "Leah Cairns - Official Site" is finished! Next to all the personal photos that Leah Cairns provided and some of the screenshots I made of the different shows she starred in, you'll find the latest news , all interviews ever published (including audio and video), a podcast page on which Leah will reply the questions sent in through the website (and you can listen to the audio of her replying those!) and her biography/filmography . So definitely check it out and I know you won't be disappointed if you're a fan of Leah Cairns and her work.
