Dennys Ilic GALACTICA.TV interview

Upon invitation by Battlestar Galactica's producer and director Michael Rymer, photographer and cinematographer Dennys Ilic visited the set to supposedly take some pictures of Michael at work during the finale. What started as a one day visit turned out to be a six weeks stay until the very last scene was shot. Dennys carefully documented the cast and crew at work during their last days on set in both photo and video. Marcel Damen talked to him.

Battlestar Galactica Cast and Crew by Dennys Ilic

During his six week stay on the Battlestar Galactica set at the time of filming the finale, photographer and cinematographer Dennys Ilic shot over 10,000 photos of the cast, crew and the sets. He plans on bundling these in his cast and crew gift book. Next to that he also plans on bringing out a second book on the cast and crew itself, outside the Battlestar Galactica set (read the full story in the Dennys Ilic GALACTICA.TV interview). This article shows a gallery of some of the photos he's now making for the second book.

Battlestar Galactica Cast and Crew Series Wrap Video

About one year ago a Battlestar Galactica 2003 cast and crew series wrap video hit the internet by accident. The cool music video was a gift from Dennys Ilic to the cast and crew of the Battlestar Galactica series. The video showed unique backstage material, shot at the time of filming the finale before it aired, hence why it was taken down by NBC/Universal from most websites. Christina Schild GALACTICA.TV interview

Some time ago Marcel Damen caught up with Christina Schild, better known to the Battlestar Galactica 2003 fans as the Fleet News Service reporter Playa Palacios. She talks about how she got in the business, her theatre work and her role on the Battlestar Galactica series. Ray Lai GALACTICA.TV interview

Long time Battlestar Galactica fan, concept artist and illustrator Ray Lai was thrilled when not only Tom DeSanto and Bryan Singer re-imagined the Battlestar Galactica series, but also he could a part of it this time. Sadly this version never came about, but luckily he was hired for the Ron Moore and David Eick version too. He worked on the development of the Colonial symbols and flags, the currency, ranks pins, the viper and the landing bay.

Tahmoh Penikett GALACTICA.TV interview 3

Marcel Damen did a follow up with Tahmoh Penikett, better know as Karl C. "Helo" Agathon on the Battlestar Galactica 2003 series. This interview, which was done in collaboration with the All About Tahmoh Penikett website has only been published in audio so far. It was done in December 2008 at the Starfury convention. Tahmoh talks about his part on Battlestar Galactica, Dollhouse and his future plans.

Battlestar Galactica 2010 Calendar and Art Prints Battlestar Galactica 2010 Calendar and Art Prints

Dennys Ilic was lucky enough to be present with camera in hand during the conclusion of the Battlestar Galactica series. He took thousands of images of which some are now available as a calendar. Each month of the calendar celebrates the sets and hardware of the series. Next to that he's also brought out several art prints of the Vipers, the Phoenix symbol and from Battlestar Galactica actors Mary McDonnell, James Callis and Tricia Helfer.
