"Galactica Discovers Earth" Deleted Scenes
Written by Marcel Damen

These are deleted scenes from the Galactica 1980 episode "Galactica Discovers Earth" that weren't on the official DVD set, but come from the various telemovies and feature film compilations of series episodes. They're a combination of stock and new material.

"Adama's Log"

The Conquest of the Earth movie version of this scene features an alternate take as Adama begins his log entry. Clearly visible on Adama's desk in this alternate take is a glass crystal with an image of his son Apollo suspended inside. Adama even glances at it, with a bit of a sad look in his eyes, while making his log entry. This scene, deleted in the episodic version, implies that Apollo died at some point during the long journey to Earth.

"Why The Cylons Stopped Attacking"

Although overdubbed for Conquest of the Earth (to explain two different child actors playing Dr. Zee), this is one of the known deleted scenes from this episode. The key section that's missing in the episodic print is when Dr. Zee explains just what he is and how he has been (and can still be) of great service to the Colonial fleet.

"The Delegates Arrive"

A bridge scene missing from the episodic print but used in Conquest of the Earth. This shows the Council delegates, Colonel Xavier, and selected warriors (including Troy and Dillon) arriving for the briefing.
